- Started gathering and compiling phone directories of establishments from Ormoc and Tacloban. Will upload the data once ready. Do the same with the other neighboring towns, cities and municipalities.
- Started preparing some contents for the website

June 24, 2008
- Availed of a web hosting provider and configured the Online Forum.
- Submitted the draft of our contest to fellow founders for comments. This is in preparation for the launching of our contest. Started looking for sponsors.

July 12, 2008
- Arrived in Ormoc City on July 12 and met the Editors-in-Chief / Publishers of two local newspapers in Ormoc. These two newspapers signed our contract of agreement “as media partners” to feed online news for

The First Step

CEBU CITY. In May of 2008, Felix Gomez Jr. invited fellow Ormocanons for a special web project with an investor from USA. The following members were Kevin Yray, Rolly Atienza, Victor Ivan Maglasang III and Ederlindo Cojuangco II. Each has a unique role and through these individuals, a new team was formed.

After countless meetings they decided to come up with a website in favor of promoting Leyte as their home province. To date, these individuals are working as IT professionals in Cebu and creating a website for Leyte is one way of returning the favor to their beloved province.  Edrian Rex Cojuangco on the other hand, supports the developing team in Cebu by gathering data and meeting contacts in Ormoc City and Leyte in general.

“This is something I’ve been wanting to do for some time now,” commented Yray, the site’s lead graphic and web designer.

Surprisingly, the other team members had also thought of having one years ago and only this time that the right people met as if destiny played a role.

When asked about the future plans for the site Gomez commented “As a team we want to make a positive contribution through the collective efforts of our fellow Leyteños and that’s what it’s all about. I know that the success of this website starts with that first step.”
